Apple is updating the name of the Gulf of Mexico to “Gulf of America” in its Maps app, in response to an executive order signed by U.S. President Donald Trump on his first day in office. This follows the U.S. government’s revision of its official map to incorporate the new name. Earlier this week, Alphabet Inc.’s Google also updated its Google Maps app to reflect this change. :
