Apple plans to introduce new Apple Intelligence features throughout the coming year. The initial wave of Apple Intelligence features will be available as part of three upcoming software releases: iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1. These updates are currently in beta testing and are expected to be released to all users later in October. Once you’ve installed the necessary software update for Apple Intelligence, there’s an additional step before accessing the AI features: joining Apple’s waitlist. The company will implement a waitlist system for Apple Intelligence access on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. After installing the update, navigate to the Apple Intelligence & Siri menu in Settings and select “Join the Apple Intelligence Waitlist.” Due to potential high demand, there may be a waiting period before gaining access to Apple Intelligence. Apple will notify you when you’re taken off the waitlist. If you intend to use Apple Intelligence across multiple devices, you only need to join the waitlist once. Once granted AI access on one device, all other compatible devices linked to your Apple Account will automatically be onboarded. MacDailyNews Take: When iOS 18.1 was first released in beta to developers, many early adopters gained access to Apple Intelligence with minimal wait times. However, when iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1 go public, Apple might adopt a more cautious approach for the public beta, potentially requiring longer wait times for users.
