Apple releases macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1

Apple today released macOS Golden Gate 27.0.1, the first point update to macOS 27 since Golden Gate shipped on September 14th.

The company says the update “fixes unspecified bugs.” It does not list individual issues in the public notes. The build number is 26A5434.⁠

Mac users can install it from System Settings → General → Software Update. A restart is required.

Apple also shipped companion updates for older systems still in support: macOS Tahoe 26.7.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.8.1. Security documentation for all three releases is expected later.

Golden Gate 27 is Apple silicon only. It dropped Intel Macs and is the last macOS release with full Rosetta 2 support. The 27.0 launch brought Siri AI in Spotlight and a dedicated Siri app, Visual Intelligence on the Mac, Liquid Glass refinements, and search and performance work. A 27.2 developer beta has already been in testers’ hands since mid-September.

MacDailyNews Take: If your Mac is compatible and already on Golden Gate, install 27.0.1. If you are still on Tahoe or Sequoia, take the matching 26.7.1 or 15.8.1 update instead.
