Apple today announced it will open Europe’s first Apple Developer Center in Berlin later this year. This new center will offer developers throughout Europe even greater access to Apple experts and events, and a more direct way to learn about the latest Apple tools, technologies, and resources. Located in the Mitte district at the heart of Berlin’s thriving business and startup ecosystem, the facility joins Developer Centers in Bengaluru, Cupertino, Shanghai, and Singapore. “Europe is home to an extraordinary community of developers who are building apps that create connections, encourage creativity, and drive innovation,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, in a statement. “We have always believed that when developers have the right tools and resources to do their best work, incredible things follow. That belief is what this center is built on, and we look forward to seeing what the community continues to develop.” Created for teams of all sizes and at every stage of app development, the Apple Developer Center Berlin will serve as a home base for in-person sessions, workshops, and one-on-one appointments. Reflecting the diversity and creativity of the European developer community, a regular cadence of events will help developers hone their skills and elevate the design, quality, and performance of their apps across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. Additionally, consultation areas and dedicated labs will offer hands-on support from Apple experts in multiple languages. Across an ecosystem of more than 2.5 billion devices worldwide, Apple invests every day in giving developers the resources they need to easily distribute their apps through the App Store in 175 countries and regions. In 2025 alone, storefronts across Europe saw more than 150 million average weekly users, helping developers at every stage grow their businesses and reach new customers. App entrepreneurs also have access to the App Store Small Business Programme, which includes a 15 percent reduced commission rate to support small and individual developers who are spurring continued app innovation. The Apple Developer Center Berlin builds on the company’s investment in the next generation of talent, which includes programmes like the Swift Student Challenge, a network of 19 Apple Developer Academies worldwide, and Apple Foundation Programmes in Italy and France that have supported thousands of developers across Europe. Developers also have access to an extensive suite of technologies that provide more than 250,000 APIs across frameworks such as HealthKit, Metal, Core ML, MapKit, and SwiftUI. This is in addition to the numerous tools that make it easier to distribute apps and games on the App Store, be discovered by people around the world, and grow successful businesses.
