Apple’s iOS 26.5 is expected to arrive this May after more than a month of beta testing. As anticipated, the update is relatively minor, which makes sense as Apple begins shifting its attention toward iOS 27. iOS 26.5 prepares the ground for end-to-end encryption support for RCS in the Messages app and introduces ads in the Apple Maps app. It also adds a new “Pride Collection” wallpaper along with a handful of other small changes.
