Apple updates iPhone Air MagSafe Battery firmware

Apple has released a new firmware update for the MagSafe Battery accessory designed exclusively for the iPhone Air. The update brings the firmware version to 8B25, an upgrade from the previous 8A351. This marks the second firmware update for the accessory since its launch in September.

In the iPhone Air’s Settings app, the new firmware appears as 99.0, compared to 91.0 for the prior version.

How Updates Work

Firmware updates for MagSafe accessories occur automatically and discreetly in the background, without any user intervention or notifications. No manual installation instructions are provided by Apple.

Forced Update: To trigger an update manually, connect the battery pack to a Mac via USB-C.
