The Apple Studio Display was released on March 18, 2022, the first Apple-branded consumer display released since the Apple Thunderbolt Display was discontinued in 2016. The Apple Studio Display features a 27-inch 5K LED-backlit panel with 5120×2880 resolution at 218 pixels per inch and 600 nits of brightness. Mark Gurman for Bloomberg News: ‎ Apple’s first M5 laptops and upgraded Mac external monitors get closer to release. Apple is nearing mass production of its next MacBook Pros (code-named J714 and J716), MacBook Airs (J813 and J815), and two new Mac monitors (J427 and J527), I’m told.
