Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), the world’s top contract chipmaker and a key Apple supplier, announced on Tuesday the opening of a design center in Munich, Germany, which may eventually support the development of chips for applications like artificial intelligence using advanced manufacturing processes. At TSMC’s 2025 Technology Symposium, Paul de Bot, President of TSMC Europe, stated that the Munich Design Centre is set to open in the third quarter of 2025.
