Major Apple supplier Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) will launch its advanced A14 fabrication process in 2028, reinforcing its leadership in the chip industry. This cutting-edge technology will surpass TSMC’s current 3-nanometer process and the forthcoming 2-nm process, set for later this year. Additionally, TSMC will introduce an intermediary A16 chip process in late 2026, marking a shift in its naming convention. The A14 process will drive superior performance and efficiency, solidifying TSMC’s position as the world’s largest chipmaker.
