On Tuesday, EU antitrust chief Teresa Ribera informed European Parliament lawmakers that a decision on whether Apple and Meta have violated significant tech regulations designed to limit their dominance will be announced in the coming weeks. Since March of last year, the European Commission has been probing Apple and Meta Platforms for possible infringements of the Digital Markets Act, which outlines specific obligations and prohibitions for tech giants to foster competition and enhance consumer options.
