On Friday, March 21, PaleyFest LA hosted a screening and special conversation around the season two finale of Apple’s global phenomenon “Severance” at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Upon conclusion of the screening, the audience was treated to a panel conversation with executive producer and director Ben Stiller, creator, writer and executive producer Dan Erickson, and stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, Patricia Arquette, Sarah Bock, Gwendoline Christie and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson. The panel was moderated by Ben Schwartz. Recently renewed for a third season, “Severance” has been consistently hailed as “one of the best TV shows of the past decade,” a “cultural phenomenon” and “the best thing on TV.” The complete first and second seasons of “Severance” are now streaming globally on Apple TV+. In “Severance,” Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries, whose employees have undergone a severance procedure, which surgically divides their memories between their work and personal lives. This daring experiment in “work-life balance” is called into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work … and of himself. In season two, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of trifling with the severance barrier, leading them further down a path of woe. “Severance” is executive produced by Ben Stiller, who also directs five episodes this season in addition to directors Uta Briesewitz, Sam Donovan and Jessica Lee Gagné. The series is written, created and executive produced by Dan Erickson. “Severance” season two is also executive produced by John Lesher, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Beau Willimon, Jordan Tappis, Donovan, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwartz and Nicholas Weinstock. In addition to starring, Adam Scott and Patricia Arquette serve as executive producers. Fifth Season is the studio. The complete first and second seasons of “Severance” are now streaming globally on Apple TV+. Season one of “Severance” received worldwide acclaim from fans and critics alike, as the AFI Awards winner landed 14 Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series (Stiller), Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Scott) and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. The series took home awards for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series and Outstanding Main Title Design. The series also earned two Writers Guild of America Awards for Best New Series and Best Drama Series, as well as two Screen Actors Guild Award nominations and nominations for the Producers Guild and Directors Guild Awards. Apple TV+ offers premium, compelling drama and comedy series, feature films, groundbreaking documentaries, kids and family entertainment, and is available to watch across all of a user’s favorite screens. After its launch on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ became the first all-original streaming service to launch around the world, and has premiered more original hits and received more award recognitions faster than any other streaming service in its debut. To date, Apple Original films, documentaries and series have been honored with 559 wins and 2,566 award nominations and counting, including multi-Emmy Award-winning comedy “Ted Lasso” and historic Oscar Best Picture winner “CODA.” Support MacDailyNews at no extra cost to you by using this link to shop at Amazon.
