Last year, Pixelmator announced its acquisition by Apple, and today the company confirmed that the acquisition is now complete, following Apple’s receipt of regulatory approval. To mark the occasion, the Pixelmator for iOS, Pixelmator Pro, and Photomator apps have been updated with a new splash screen celebrating the deal.
Congrats, Pixelmator Team on your well-deserved reward! Years ago, MacDailyNews dumped Photoshop when it became subscriptionware and switched to — and have always very highly recommended — Pixelmator Pro! And, yes, we’re praying they don’t do to Pixelmator what they did to Dark Sky! We are currently about 1/4th of the way to being sustainable with Substack subscriptions.
