Apple has released tvOS 18.2.1, an update addressing a data synchronization issue across devices. This particular update, which began rolling out around 3 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. ET on Thursday, resolves a syncing problem. The previous tvOS 18.2 introduced the dynamic Snoopy screensavers, similar to the Apple Watch face. Notably, Apple’s security update tracker lists no associated CVE entries for tvOS 18.2.1, mirroring the iOS 18.2.1 update released on January 6, which also lacked public-facing changes. Keeping Apple TV updated is crucial, especially as it often serves as the central hub for HomeKit smart homes.
