TDK Corp., a key supplier of iPhone batteries to Apple, will launch an upgraded version of its most advanced battery technology this year to address the increasing power consumption of AI features in mobile devices. Mass production of these third-generation silicon-anode cells is scheduled to begin in late summer, according to CEO Noboru Saito. Yuki Furukawa and Takashi Mochizuki for Bloomberg News:
