November shipments of foreign-branded smartphones, including Apple’s iPhones, to China dropped 47.4% year-on-year, marking the fourth consecutive month of decline, according to data released Friday by a Chinese Communist Party-affiliated research firm. Calculations based on the data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) showed that foreign brand shipments, the majority of which are Apple iPhones, decreased to 3.04 million units from 5.769 million units a year earlier.
