Apple Maps on the web has recently gained Look Around street-level views for several cities, according to 9to5Mac, following its beta launch in July.

Users can activate Look Around by clicking the binoculars icon in the bottom left of the map window, similar to the experience on iPhone and iPad. This allows for first-person perspective exploration of many major cities by clicking and dragging on the map. Filipe Espósito for 9to5Mac: ‎ According to the Look Map website, which lets users check the coverage of the main map platforms, the feature was added by Apple around December 11. For those unfamiliar, Look Around is Apple’s version of Street View. The feature was introduced in 2019 with iOS 13 and lets users explore their surroundings with 360-degree panoramic views. Where available, Look Around can be accessed by tapping or clicking on the binoculars icon in Apple Maps. Apple says Apple Maps on the web is still a “public beta.” The web app lets users explore the map, search for businesses and points of interest, find directions and view Guides. Features such as the transit map and 3D buildings are still unavailable.
