Apple is facing significant challenges in introducing its AI models to the Chinese market. A top Chinese official has warned that foreign companies, including Apple, will need to collaborate with local partners to gain regulatory approval for their AI technologies or face a “difficult and long process” to win approval. Apple CEO Tim Cook recently visited China for the third time this year as the company continues to attempt to navigate the complex regulatory landscape and seek opportunities to bring its Apple Intelligence features to Chinese consumers.
