On October 4 from 7-9, 2014, NOLA's Music Festival features over 50 shows. If you find yourself having to learn a new technique or technique but still have a great mix, your best bet is to just mix up. So remember the last step first: take what you already have in mind and combine it with your new ideas.

Write a eclectic mix of sounds and soundtracks into a new recording, not because they've written better music, but because they were interested in the idea of listening to these sounds. What's important to them is that they understand that that could be a challenge, and that if they ever want to talk about these things, it doesn't come soon enough or with sufficient experience or time to develop those kinds of approaches or plans.
And the reason they came up with a sound is because of the amount of time spent with this project. Once I got to the record they asked me if I'd like to work on my own songwriting and the songwriter wanted me to work on a new song. This led to a meeting, where I found out that there was such interest in this and asked if I'd like to work for the project or if it was my first songwriting project. It also led to a recording session, where I received an offer to sing the album for a major record release at various stages, and I met with the managers of all the artists who were interested in working with me - so all these artists did the final version, and they all expressed their interest during our sessions and it never took many more of us any time to nail it in a coherent sound. These moments with the studio and the people you work with really did play a huge part in shaping my final recording, because it's been that way with every release after that.
