Bannon's remarks come only 15 months after the Washington Post published a story claiming that the White House has taken "an active role in promoting hate speech" by its conservative news staff. In the paper article, Breitbart News editor-in-chief Stephen K. Bannon wrote:
What's important, according to Bannon, is the power of that right-wing media. And that's what Breitbart does. Because the left has a tendency to think you have to take a stand — you know, to have your voice heard because the people who tell you what to do, they'll tell ya, don't run for office.
Bannon is correct that Breitbart should have taken some responsibility for that.
In fact, the New York Times' editorial board recently cited some of Bannon's own words and rhetoric in support of Trump:
He also told MSNBC's Bill O'Reilly that Trump's election was "a huge event for national pride. I love that," he said, referring to the election as "the great civil rights revolution that gave the nation black dreams and red revolutions."
If this whole thing sounds like a big deal, maybe it is. Perhaps it even makes you wonder how Bannon feels about Trump's presidency.

On his first visit to Israel, Trump was elected president.
"It's a great honor," he told ABC in 2005 as part of his plan to "dismantle" Israel. After Trump visited West Bank settlements, an article describing Trump's visit as "very, very helpful", reported that his secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, also had expressed support for the deal.
Trump also called out Israel in an interview on ABC's "This Week" in January for allowing a "very big terrorist strike," saying that as president he "could do everything" to secure the accord that would be signed.
Israel, meanwhile, insists that it was a mistake to attack the Palestinians, as has been repeatedly shown by U.S. officials, and that it has since agreed to give up two tunnels it has built and several of its existing nuclear and chemical facilities in order to protect its nuclear programme.

"As a matter of fact, he didn't make any decision in the way it was announced. It was made intentionally, we don't know. We don't know that. We also don't know that he did it intentionally.

The U.S. Coast Guard says 10,000 sailors from three Marine Corps warships have spent the day in Florida recovering from what became clear last week when a deadly plane made an explosive landing north of Fort Lauderdale.
U.S. Coast Guard officials say the Coast Guard had to cancel about 4,400 flights scheduled to start on Monday morning due to the storm, which moved west from the east and was moving faster than expected.
The Coast Guard's Office of Naval Seals says the storm-damaged plane, a Boeing 767, was forced to land in Florida after landing in Panama.
"The Coast Guard and its partner ships continued to work around the clock before this accident occurred," SOTCS spokesman Nick Lutz told reporters.
Lutz said officials from the Coast Guard shipmates from two battleships from USS Ronald Reagan and an F-16 interceptor were with the Coast Guard from Fort Lauderdale to help the Coast Guard shipmates.
It's unclear at this time what prompted the incident, but they "appear to have been responding at a very fast clip and as their approach made contact with the downed aircraft," USNI News reported

To support the fight for liberty as an act of defense or "right to life" or whatever you want to call it. That's exactly what the US government has done – for many thousands of years – to protect American citizens. It's so obvious and so obvious that we're all being fooled by it now.

A former New York University professor's book, entitled The Secret War Against Islam: How the U.S. Won a Global War on Terror and Radicalization, was published last week by Columbia University Press.
"In the mid-1930s, Muslims began to attack Western institutions and the United States," said Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who served as a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and senior lecturer in global security studies at Harvard. "People thought Americans should be more alert and vigilant, but they couldn't understand much more about Islam than the Koran and all these books. You could see that if you spoke to people on this group, some Muslims would have lost faith. So it all worked out there. The U.S. just took some radicalizing steps."
Harvard's Hirsi Ali, who also serves as a Senior Fellow at Harvard and a leading scholar on terrorism, told The Intercept that "an increasing number of American scholars have begun to question their own faith."
Ali's critique of Islam "shows that this kind of hatred, in addition to its own problems, is so widespread that at no time in history could a radical Islam be better understood than in the United States."
This is not Hirsi Ali's first time pointing to the Islamic terrorism problem. In January this year, she published an article in the Christian Science Monitor highlighting the way the U.
