I agree that there is some truth to any criticism of a politician or government, but it is a criticism that needs to have a public debate about political correctness.
A common sense approach to dealing with "fake news" is that journalists don't know anything about it. They have to get the information they want, and do their best to avoid it. So journalists must present their opinion and information to the public in order to determine the truth. While a journalist might not necessarily have real news in these particular instances, in such an environment, it is still necessary to provide facts to readers and to present an opinion as accurate as possible, no matter what party they are affiliated with.
