Apple Fitness+ unveils new collaboration with Strava
Apple Fitness+ kicks off the new year with its biggest lineup of programming, bringing users more ways to stay active in 2025. The service introduces a progressive strength training program designed to take the guesswork out of putting together the perfect routine, along with a conditioning program for pickleball — one of the world’s fastest-growing sports. A new workshop-style yoga program helps users improve their skills with popular peak poses, while a breath meditation program supports managing stress, boosting energy, and enhancing focus. The Artist Spotlight series features more of music’s biggest stars, including Janet Jackson, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and Kendrick Lamar, while new Time to Walk episodes feature Adam Scott, Rita Ora, Daddy Yankee, Tiffany Haddish, and others. Alex Wong, celebrated choreographer and dancer, leads an exclusive dance workout takeover. The new content will be available starting Monday, January 6, on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. And with Apple Watch, users can supercharge their experience and add a layer of extra motivation with real-time metrics to track progress. Fitness+ is also collaborating with Strava to bring a new integration to the Strava app experience, along with a special Fitness+ trial offer for Strava subscribers, and celebrated athletes from the Strava community will appear as guests in workouts. “Fitness+ is designed to support everyone’s unique fitness and wellness journey, providing welcoming and motivating workouts, meditations, and programs that make it easy to stay active and mindful,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of Fitness Technologies, in a statement. “From workouts that can boost power and precision for pickleball, to breath meditations that help relieve stress, along with Artist Spotlight sessions featuring iconic hits, and an exciting collaboration with Strava, Fitness+ has something to inspire, motivate, and help everyone feel their best in 2025.” Fitness+ Teams Up with Strava Fitness+ is collaborating with Strava, the app for active people, to bring a new integration to the Strava experience, and a special offer to Strava subscribers. With the enhanced integration, when members share a Fitness+ workout to Strava, the Strava app will now display rich details — including the episode image, episode number, music genre, trainer name, and metrics — to track their fitness journey and share with their community on Strava. New and existing Strava subscribers can also redeem up to three months of Fitness+ at no cost, and take advantage of the largest library of 4K Ultra High Definition fitness and wellness content in the world, with over 6,500 workouts and meditations across 12 workout types to support their training. Additionally, celebrated athletes from the Strava community will join the Fitness+ trainer team as special guests in workouts throughout the year. Three Perfect Weeks of Strength Fitness+ unveils an all-new progressive strength program that guides users through the process of building and maintaining strength, with a focus on efficiency. The three-week guided program targets every major muscle group with 12 30-minute workouts: Progressive Overload (Week One), Time Under Tension (Week Two), and Dynamic Power (Week Three). Designed for results and repeatability, this foundational fitness routine is one that users can return to, adjusting weights as they grow stronger. Strength, Endurance, and Agility for Pickleball Pickleball is one of the world’s fastest-growing sports, beloved by casual and competitive players alike. Fitness+ now offers a Strength, Endurance, and Agility for Pickleball program featuring professional pickleball champion Catherine Parenteau, who has been ranked No. 1 in the world in both singles and doubles. The program includes a mix of exercises inspired by Parenteau’s own training regimen, all designed to help users feel confident and perform their best on the court. Yoga Peak Poses Yoga Peak Poses brings an intimate workshop-style experience directly to users wherever they are, with an attention to form and education typically found in a one-on-one session. Each session spotlights a single peak pose — including Dancer, Twisted Hand to Big Toe, and Crow — to provide users with focused time and instruction to build confidence and skill. For each pose, there is a 10-minute prep flow to warm users up for the corresponding 10-minute practice session. Introduction to Breath Meditation The new Introduction to Breath Meditation program teaches powerful, easy-to-follow techniques for managing stress, boosting energy, and enhancing focus. Users can choose from five 10-minute meditations — like belly, box, and ocean breathing — to relax, recharge, or refocus. Additionally, Breath is now a theme within Fitness+, bringing the total to 12 unique meditation themes, including Calm, Sleep, and Sound. These themes make it even simpler for users to find meditation practices that suit their lifestyle. Spotlight on Music’s Biggest Stars The Artist Spotlight series, which dedicates entire workout playlists to a single artist, returns with new workouts featuring music from some of the world’s biggest artists. Upcoming featured artists include Janet Jackson (starting January 13), Coldplay (starting January 20), Bruno Mars (starting January 27), and Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show headliner Kendrick Lamar (starting February 3). Each playlist is crafted to fuel workouts across different types of training, from Cycling and HIIT to Strength and Dance, adding a new level of energy to every move. New Episodes of Time to Walk Time to Walk — an award-winning audio experience on iPhone and Apple Watch designed to help people walk more often — allows users to walk alongside some of the world’s most interesting and influential people as they share stories, photos, and songs. New episodes begin January 13 with award-winning actor and comedian Adam Scott, who stars in the highly anticipated new season of Severance, premiering January 17 exclusively on Apple TV+. Other episodes this season feature two-time GRAMMY-nominated artist and record producer Steve Aoki; award-winning actor and producer Lana Condor; actor and singer Tiffany Haddish; global award-winning singer, songwriter, and actor Rita Ora; award-winning Latin urban artist Daddy Yankee; and actor, producer, and dancer Maddie Ziegler.
