My conclusion is that I don't know what he is referring to (or what an idea is), but it was definitely not something I ever thought I would come across. I would be glad if I could point to other examples like "We already know that he is not a racist or homophobic" etc. I would like some of the more famous examples of something being "prooted" or "racist" to be mentioned in the same paragraph as for the article I am talking about.
